Gingerbread Chocolate Chip Cookies



Santa's favorite cookies are getting a festive twist with the warm and spicy flavors of gingerbread combined with the richness of chocolate chips. These cookies are sure to delight Santa and everyone in your family this holiday season!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy

Add the molasses and egg, and mix until well combined

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, baking soda, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms

Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
